Citizenship

The Citizenship Program is provided to Permanent Legal Residents who have submitted their naturalization application or are ready to apply within the year. The Citizenship Program will provide Permanent Legal Residents with the tools and resources necessary to successfully attain U.S. citizenship.  The purpose of this Citizenship Program is to prepare students for success in the Citizenship Interview and Examination as administered by the U. S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The Citizenship Program provides eligible Permanent Legal Residents with access to a computer lab and assists in submitting an electronic citizenship application (N400) on line at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Adult and Community Education Center.

Applicants must complete an eligibility application in order to be screened before they are allowed to go on line to complete the electronic (N400) citizenship application. All completed applications are reviewed free of charge by an immigration attorney from CCLS to ensure the information and required documents are accurate before submitting to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Applicants must pay the application fee once they are approved by USCIS.

The program does not pay for the application. We are providing free services to access the application through a program called Citizenship Works.
